Submit Manuscript
Submission requirements and pre-submission checklist
Authors submit manuscripts to AJIST through the journal's online submission system. Before starting a submission, authors must review the Aims and Scope, Author Guidelines, Publication Ethics & Publication Malpractice Statement, Peer Review Process, and the relevant author policies.
1. Before You Submit
- Confirm that the manuscript falls within AJIST's aims and scope.
- Confirm that the work is original and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
- Ensure that all listed authors have approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission.
- Disclose any relevant prior publications, preprints, conference abstracts, datasets, or closely related manuscripts where these could affect assessment of originality or overlap.
- Prepare all required ethical, funding, conflict-of-interest, data-availability, authorship, and Generative AI declarations.
2. Files and Information to Prepare
- Microsoft Word manuscript file prepared according to the AJIST Author Guidelines.
- Title-page information, including manuscript title, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author contact details.
- An anonymised manuscript file where required for double-blind peer review.
- Abstract and 3-8 keywords.
- Tables and figures with titles or captions, cited in the manuscript.
- Supplementary material, where applicable.
- Complete references in APA style, including DOI information where available.
- Required declarations and supporting ethical approval or registration information, where applicable.
3. Submission Process
- Access the AJIST online submission system and begin a new submission.
- Enter the required manuscript metadata and author information accurately.
- Upload the manuscript and all required supplementary files.
- Complete the submission checklist and required declarations.
- Review the submission carefully and submit it for editorial assessment.
4. After Submission
The editorial office conducts an administrative and initial editorial check. The submission may be returned for completion or clarification, declined at the editorial stage, or sent for external double-blind peer review when suitable. Manuscripts selected for external review are normally evaluated by independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
5. Submission Fees and APC
AJIST does not charge a manuscript submission fee. The Article Processing Charge, where applicable, is requested only after editorial acceptance following peer review. Current fee, waiver, discount, and refund information is provided on the Article Processing Charges & Waivers page.
6. Copyright and Licensing
Following acceptance, the author(s) or other lawful copyright holder must complete the AJIST Author Declaration and Copyright Transfer Agreement. The published Version of Record is made available as Gold Open Access under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence. Full details are provided on the Copyright & Licensing page.
7. Editorial Office
For submission-related questions, authors may contact the AJIST editorial office at editorial@crijournals.org.
Important Submission Notice
Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee external peer review, acceptance, or publication. Authors must rely on the current AJIST website for submission requirements, fees, and policies and must not make payment before an official acceptance communication and APC request from the journal.
