The AJIST Copyright Form is the Author Declaration and Copyright Transfer Agreement used by the Asian Journal of Information Science and Technology (AJIST). Following manuscript acceptance, the author(s) or other lawful copyright holder must complete and sign the form before publication. The journal’s detailed rights and licensing terms are provided in the Copyright & Licensing Policy.

1. When the Copyright Form Is Required

The completed form is required after acceptance and before publication of the accepted manuscript. Copyright transfer takes effect upon publication of the article. The requirement does not override rights in public-domain material or third-party material used with appropriate permission.

2. Author Declaration

By completing the form, authors confirm key publication declarations concerning originality and exclusive submission, authorship and approval, research integrity and ethical compliance, conflicts of interest and funding, third-party material, copyright transfer, the applicable Creative Commons licence, publication consent, and corresponding-author authority. These declarations should be consistent with the AJIST Author Guidelines and Publication Ethics & Publication Malpractice Statement.

Upon publication, copyright in the published Version of Record is transferred to the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI), subject to the journal’s stated licence and author reuse rights. CRI then holds the rights necessary to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, preserve, index, disseminate, and protect the published article.

4. Author Reuse and Repository Rights

AJIST permits authors to deposit and share the published Version of Record on personal or institutional websites and in appropriate scholarly repositories for non-commercial purposes, provided that the published article remains unchanged, the complete citation and DOI or permanent link are supplied, the CRI copyright notice is retained, the applicable Creative Commons licence is displayed, and AJIST is acknowledged as the original publication. 5. Creative Commons Licence

AJIST publishes the Version of Record under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This licence permits copying and redistribution of the unchanged article for non-commercial purposes with appropriate attribution. Distribution of modified or derivative versions and commercial use are not permitted under this licence without additional permission from the relevant copyright holder.

6. Third-Party Material and Permissions

Authors are responsible for ensuring that material included in the manuscript does not unlawfully infringe third-party rights and that permission has been obtained where required. Any third-party content with separate licence or reuse restrictions should be clearly identified.

7. Download and Submit the AJIST Copyright Form

Download the AJIST Author Declaration and Copyright Transfer Agreement (PDF), complete the required manuscript and author information, obtain the appropriate signature, and send the completed form to the AJIST editorial office at editorial@crijournals.org.
